Shreya is the Chief Economist at the Social Market Foundation, where she leads the organisation’s economic policy work. Prior to this, she was an economist at the Institute for Public Policy Research, and a government economist. She has published research on wide range of UK domestic policy areas, and carried out debate-leading work on macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, and housing and transport.
She is an advisor to Tax Justice UK, the Women’s Budget Group, London YIMBY, and Taxing the Rich, as well as a spokesperson for the New Economy Organisers Network. She regularly appears in national print and broadcast media.
